The Science Behind Eversense E3’s Long-Term Exceptional Accuracy

Unique Fluorescent Technology

  • The Eversense® E3 Sensor uses fluorescent light technology to measure glucose in interstitial fluid.

  • The intensity of the fluorescent light signal rises and falls in proportion to the body’s glucose levels

  • There is no interference with glucose measurements from Vitamin C or acetaminophen.

Feel Confident Knowing Eversense E3 Demonstrates Exceptional Accuracy1 Overall

Continuous glucose monitoring is not only about more readings. It is also about getting accurate alerts for current or upcoming low or high glucose events, consistently over the time of CGM system wear.

Exceptional Accuracy—Mard 8.5%

Highly accurate, also in the low glucose range.

  • The overall MARD of the Eversense® E3 CGM system is 8.5% with 87.3% of readings within 15 mg/dL or 15% of the reference values (YSI).

  • In the hypoglycaemic range (40–60 mg/dL) the MAD* gets even better at 7.5% with 91.6% of readings within 15/15.

Performance Up To 6 Months

Month by month, Eversense E3 has demonstrated exceptional accuracy and stable performance over the course of 180 days with a single sensor. Readings you can count on!

Confirmed High Detection Rates

  • 94% of low glucose events were detected correctly and alerted (using Predictive Alert), comparing to the laboratory reference (YSI)

  • 99% of high glucose events were detected correctly and alerted (using Predictive Alert), comparing to the laboratory reference (YSI)

  • Maybe it’s time to consider activating the Predictive Alert feature in the Eversense App. Talk to your health care provider to help you with this setting

Data You Can Trust To Treat

Eversense E3, with an overall MARD of 8.5%, is indicated to be used for treatment decisions without a confirmatory fingerstick (see disclaimer). This provides another level of trust and confidence from your Eversense E3 System.

Calibrating Your Eversense E3 Is Needed to Ensure High Levels of Accuracy Over 6 Months

While factory calibration might be possible for transcutaneous sensors lasting up to 2 weeks, a long-term implantable sensor lasting up to 180 days, essentially 12 times longer, requires calibration. This ensures the high accuracy of your Eversense E3 CGM System over the entire 6 months.
